Wrap Up: February 2023

*waves from under the abyss* Hello, I am infact still alive and did remember that I once did monthly wrap up posts! I haven’t one of these since -checks- October 2022….its been a hot minute. I’ve missed doing these though and am going to try and go backdate the previous months, but for now, let’s see how my February went!

I traveled to Atlanta, GA for 6 days for work, which was actually incredibly stressful and not at all fun sadly!

I attended the book launch for Revelle by Lyssa Mia Smith at Books of Wonder in NYC, and I attended an early screening of Daisy Jones & The Six which included a talk with the cast/creators afterwards!

I attended 3 concerts and saw 3 Broadway shows.

And last but not least – I read 4 books this month. Life isn’t slowing down anytime soon but I’m trying to fit reading in when and where I can!

Broadway Wrap Up: February 2023

I saw 3 Broadway shows in February! February was a busy month for me, between traveling to Atlanta for work, going to the Revelle book launch event, and seeing 3 concerts – so I didn’t see as many Broadway shows – not to mention a lot of new shows are just opening, so I expect March to be busier!

DNF’s of 2022 – Most Disappointing Reads of 2022

In 2021, I made a “Most Disappointing Reads of 2021” list – this year, I decided to start keeping serious track of books I’m DNF-ing (did not finish) – on Goodreads, to add to my DNF shelf, I remove the “date read” so I’ve started writing it into my Goodreads reviews so I’ll know when I DNF.

I started this post back in January 2022 and now that it’s December 29th, 2022, I feel like it’s time to share! I don’t know if this will be of interest to anyone but me, but I’m listing books I DNF by month and at what percentage I stopped reading them.

Life is too short to keep reading books you aren’t enjoying and don’t care how it ends. One of my 2022 goals was to DNF books I know I’ll rate 1 or 2 stars and so far I’ve been happy with the books I’ve DNF-ed!

I DNF-ed a book at 79% and a book at 30%. It’s never too late or too early to DNF!

Wrap Up: October 2022

October is another month that I don’t know where time went – it was a great but busy month for me. The highlight was going to 4 days of New York Comic Con and getting to see the Shadow & Bone cast & meet Leigh Bardugo! And at least I’m not posting this wrap up TOO late this month, proud of myself. I’m currently in the midst of planning a UK trip for end of November, which I’m looking forward to!

Thankfully concerts have slowed down and I only went to 2 concerts this month and saw 8 Broadway shows.

I only read 4 books this month but I really enjoyed what I read!

I made a separate post for my Broadway Wrap Up, which you can check out here!

Broadway Wrap Up: October 2022

I saw 8 Broadway shows in October! It was another busy month with New York Comic Con in the beginning but things are calming down slightly….I say as I’m currently planning a UK trip for the end of November! November’s Wrap Up will hopefully include some West End shows which I’m super excited about!

My favorite show this month was Almost Famous, as you can see by the fact I saw it 3x. Highly recommend seeing it on Broadway! Kpop was also a LOT of fun and I can’t wait to see it again soon!

Wrap Up: September 2022

The fact that it is -checks watch- almost the end of October and I am just now posting my September Wrap Up should give you a hint as to how hectic my life has been these past few weeks! September was a blur of concerts and Broadway shows.

I went to 10 concerts this month and saw 6 Broadway shows, so don’t even ask me when I slept. I didn’t lol.

I still somehow managed to read 5 books in September in between all of that.

I made a separate post for my Broadway Wrap Up, which you can check out here!

Broadway Wrap Up: September 2022

I saw 6 Broadway shows in September! …and as you can probably guess, since I’m posting this in -checks watch- Mid October, life has gotten away from me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been having a great time living life, attending concerts and Broadway shows and New York Comic Con, but that just means I’ve had zero time to blog. I’m posting this now because I want to and it makes me happy to do so!

I’ve been belatedly posting my September Broadway reviews but they’re now all up!

Wrap Up: August 2022

August was a blur – but a good blur. This post is coming later than usual because somehow the end of August/early September has kept me BUSY! August was peak concert month for me – and I loved every second of it. I went to 7 concerts this month, which meant listening to a lot more music and a lot less audiobooks sadly, but I’m embracing whatever my mood feels like! I “only” saw 6 Broadway shows in August, but thats still a pretty good number!

I read 4 books and DNF-ed 1 book in August, but I enjoyed what I read and thats what matters, right?!

I made a separate post for my Broadway Wrap Up, which you can check out here!

Broadway Wrap Up: August 2022

I saw 6 Broadway shows in August! This is actually the fewest shows I’ve seen in a month in a while, but I’ve already seen almost everything I want to see at this point and I’m saving myself for all the new shows opening in the autumn! I really loved the shows I did see this month. I also attended 7 concerts this month, so really, it balances out to my typical amount of outings a month LOL!

I’ve been on track with writing up full blog post reviews for each show I saw this month, all of which are linked below.

Broadway Wrap Up: July 2022

I saw 9 Broadway shows in July, slightly down from my average the past two months, but I also went to BroadwayCon for 2 days, and I attended 4 concerts this month, so my focus shifted slightly this month from Broadway to concerts – but hey, 9 shows is still great and I saw a lot of NEW shows which I was excited about!

I’ve been on track with writing up full blog post reviews for each show I saw this month, all of which are linked below.
