‘Shucked’ & Album Release Party @ Nederlander Theatre: NYC (6/4/23)

I didn’t think I’d be walking on a second Broadway stage this year, but here we are!

The short version: I saw Shucked for a matinee, and attended their ~Album Release Party~ in the evening thanks to Show-Score! That included a musical performance of songs that never made it into the show, jokes that were cut, complimentary drinks & snacks, and having a photo op on stage! (It was also supposed to include a signed album, but they ran out……..)

Broadway Wrap Up: May 2023

I saw 11 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows in May! Somehow I saw one more show than I’ve seen the past two months – don’t even ask me how I manage this, I amaze even myself! May was another month of trying to catch a lot of newly opened shows and I’m glad I succeeded!

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a new favorite, Hadestown is an old favorite, and I saw Camelot & Grey House for the first time and really enjoyed both of those!

‘Little Shop of Horrors’ @ Westside Theatre: NYC (5/28/23)

Don’t feed the plants! I took another trip to Skid Row to see Little Shop of Horrors! I haven’t seen this show since January so I was due for another visit – this isn’t a show I see often but I always enjoy it when I do~

‘Grey House’ @ Lyceum Theatre: NYC (5/18/23)

I’ve been hearing about the play Grey House and I was curious to see it for myself. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a play marketed as horror before so I was very curious!

‘Once Upon A One More Time’ @ Marquis Theatre: NYC (5/13/23)

‘Camelot’ @ Vivian Beaumont Theatre: NYC (5/13/23)

For Saturday’s matinee I finally saw Camelot! Thanks to the LincTix program that Lincoln Center has, I was able to buy a ticket for just $32 (+ fees) with a great view! I bought this ticket back in early March, and early May was the first available time to purchase a ticket at the discounted rate – but it was worth the wait!

‘Prima Facie’ @ Golden Theatre: NYC (5/10/23)

I didn’t think I would be back seeing Prima Facie so soon, but the lottery willed it so. I’m convinced this lottery is just really easy to win, because this is the second time I’ve won! Apparently there are only 10 lotto tickets per show, at $10 each. So I’m really shocked how easy I’ve found this to win – since I’m usually only entering for one show a week.

‘Peter Pan Goes Wrong’ @ Barrymore Theatre: NYC (5/4/23)

I made a second trip to Neverland to see Peter Pan Goes Wrong with Neil Patrick Harris one more time before he leaves on May 7th! My friend hadn’t seen the show yet and really wanted to see NPH, so we grabbed some cheap $59 rear mezz seats.
