Broadway Wrap Up: April 2023

I saw 10 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows in April! That’s the same amount as March, so it seems 10 is my monthly average lately. So many new shows have been opening and I’m trying to see as many as I can!

I truly liked everything I saw this month so it’s hard to pick a favorite. Attending Opening Night of Shucked is high on my list just because it was opening night! But I saw a lot of good shows this month and I’m really happy about it~

Check out my roundup of all ten shows I attended:

‘Working on a Song: the Lyrics of HADESTOWN’ by AnaĆÆs Mitchell – Audiobook Review

I’ve seen Hadestown on Broadway 7x now since 2019 and its a story that never gets old to me – they tell it again and again and it might turn out differently next time. It’s one of my favorite shows so I knew I wanted to read this book by creator/songwriter AnaĆÆs Mitchell where she breaks down the lyrics and talks about how the evolved.

…but now I’m desperate to see Hadestown again ASAP!

Broadway Wrap Up: March 2023

I saw 10 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows in March! Sometimes I impress even myself, I don’t know how I saw so many shows, the 2nd week of March I was on a ROLL with the lottery wins and just rolled with it! I saw a lot of new to me shows this month too, which I was excited about.

It’s truly hard to pick one favorite show, but the new shows I enjoyed a lot were Shucked (CORN!), Life of Pi, and of course Sweeney Todd, a classic.

Broadway Wrap Up: February 2023

I saw 3 Broadway shows in February! February was a busy month for me, between traveling to Atlanta for work, going to the Revelle book launch event, and seeing 3 concerts – so I didn’t see as many Broadway shows – not to mention a lot of new shows are just opening, so I expect March to be busier!

Broadway Wrap Up: October 2022

I saw 8 Broadway shows in October! It was another busy month with New York Comic Con in the beginning but things are calming down slightly….I say as I’m currently planning a UK trip for the end of November! November’s Wrap Up will hopefully include some West End shows which I’m super excited about!

My favorite show this month was Almost Famous, as you can see by the fact I saw it 3x. Highly recommend seeing it on Broadway! Kpop was also a LOT of fun and I can’t wait to see it again soon!

Broadway Wrap Up: September 2022

I saw 6 Broadway shows in September! …and as you can probably guess, since I’m posting this in -checks watch- Mid October, life has gotten away from me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been having a great time living life, attending concerts and Broadway shows and New York Comic Con, but that just means I’ve had zero time to blog. I’m posting this now because I want to and it makes me happy to do so!

I’ve been belatedly posting my September Broadway reviews but they’re now all up!

Broadway Wrap Up: August 2022

I saw 6 Broadway shows in August! This is actually the fewest shows I’ve seen in a month in a while, but I’ve already seen almost everything I want to see at this point and I’m saving myself for all the new shows opening in the autumn! I really loved the shows I did see this month. I also attended 7 concerts this month, so really, it balances out to my typical amount of outings a month LOL!

I’ve been on track with writing up full blog post reviews for each show I saw this month, all of which are linked below.

Broadway Wrap Up: July 2022

I saw 9 Broadway shows in July, slightly down from my average the past two months, but I also went to BroadwayCon for 2 days, and I attended 4 concerts this month, so my focus shifted slightly this month from Broadway to concerts – but hey, 9 shows is still great and I saw a lot of NEW shows which I was excited about!

I’ve been on track with writing up full blog post reviews for each show I saw this month, all of which are linked below.
