Wrap Up: October 2023

October passed in a blur because I had a trip I have been anticipating for well over a year now – Egypt! I traveling to Egypt from October 7-16. The timing was not great with everything happening over there but I was with a group and I was safe the entire time. It was an incredible experience to visit Egypt and I’m so glad I went!

Yet I still managed to keep busy at home too! I went to the Brooklyn Book Festival on October 1st – it’s held annually and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re local to NYC!

I attended 2 concerts and saw 5 Broadway shows.

I only read 3 books this month and DNF-ed 1, but I think that’s still pretty good considering I didn’t read at all while traveling and then recovering once home.

Check out my month of October:

Wrap Up: September 2023

September was a really great month! I started off the month by driving 5 hours (each way…) up to Syracuse, NY to see my favorite band The Fray play the NY State Fair! That gave me a lot of audiobook listening time LOL.

I also went to Susan Lee’s event at The Ripped Bodice in Brooklyn for The Name Drop! It was so nice to attend an author event~!

I attended 4 concerts and saw 7 Broadway shows. I found a new music obsession with the Italian rock band Måneskin – so if they’re coming to a city near you I highly recommend seeing them.

I read 6 books this month – 3 of them were very short books but hey, it counts! The First Bright Thing is going to be one of my favorites of the year, it was incredible!

Wrap Up: August 2023

My August was non-stop between concerts, traveling for concerts, and Broadway shows! I barely had time to breath but I was thriving – I love summer concert season!

I attended 6 concerts (…4 of them were Fall Out Boy LOL) and saw 7 Broadway shows. 4 of the concerts I went to were out of New York state so I also had to travel a bit to get to them – but it was all worth it.

I still managed to read read 5 books in August – long drives and audiobooks were my friends this month. It was a really good reading month and I loved everything!

Wrap Up: July 2023

Ah July, the month where it’s unbearably hot. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a fan of summer because of the heat, but I am a fan of outdoor summer concerts! Unfortunately that left little time to read, but I managed to squeeze in a few books this month.

I attended 2 concerts and saw 12 (?!) Broadway shows. I was busy every single weekend!

I only read 3 books this month & DNF-ed 1 book, but I really liked what I read! I’m so happy I finally read the “emo book” – Where Are Your Boys Tonight? by Chris Payne – it was fascinating and I highly recommend it to any music fan!

Check out my crazy busy month of July:

Wrap Up: June 2023

June, why did you have to go so quickly?! June was an amazing month and I was non-stop, I barely had time to breath let alone read! I traveled to Chicago for 5 days and it’s one of my favorite cities~

I attended 5 concerts and saw 8 Broadway shows.

I only read 3 books this month, and DNF-ed 1 book. It’s not a lot, but I finally started the Shades of Magic series so I think that counts for a lot!

Wrap Up: April 2023

Ah April, the month where the weather is 80F degrees one day and 50F degrees the next, false spring has arrived!

April was another busy but good month. I had a short weekend getaway to Smith Island in Maryland, it was gorgeous, 10/10 recommend! They even have a speciality cake!!! HECK YEAH!

I attended 4 concerts, and saw 10 Broadway & off-Broadway shows.

I read 7 books this month and DNF-ed 1 book this month. My favorite read this month was an arc of Ander & Santi Were Here by Jonny Garza Villa and I highly recommend it! As a Broadway fan, I also really enjoyed Working on a Song: The Lyrics of HADESTOWN looking at the lyrics of Hadestown – and I want to see the show again soon~!

Wrap Up: March 2023

Look at me being on top of my blogging game! March was a hectic and busy month but very rewarding one! I celebrated my birthday on March 16th (by going to see Muse on the 17 & 19th LOL) and I saw a lot of Broadway shows.

I read 6 books and DNF-ed 1 book this month. A lot of them were short audiobooks which made me feel really accomplished, finishing it so quickly – sometimes you need that feeling in your life. My favorite read this month was an arc of Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross – pick this one up when it releases April 4th!

I attended 2 concerts and saw 10 Broadway & off-Broadway shows. Like I said – a busy month!

Wrap Up: February 2023

*waves from under the abyss* Hello, I am infact still alive and did remember that I once did monthly wrap up posts! I haven’t one of these since -checks- October 2022….its been a hot minute. I’ve missed doing these though and am going to try and go backdate the previous months, but for now, let’s see how my February went!

I traveled to Atlanta, GA for 6 days for work, which was actually incredibly stressful and not at all fun sadly!

I attended the book launch for Revelle by Lyssa Mia Smith at Books of Wonder in NYC, and I attended an early screening of Daisy Jones & The Six which included a talk with the cast/creators afterwards!

I attended 3 concerts and saw 3 Broadway shows.

And last but not least – I read 4 books this month. Life isn’t slowing down anytime soon but I’m trying to fit reading in when and where I can!

Wrap Up: August 2022

August was a blur – but a good blur. This post is coming later than usual because somehow the end of August/early September has kept me BUSY! August was peak concert month for me – and I loved every second of it. I went to 7 concerts this month, which meant listening to a lot more music and a lot less audiobooks sadly, but I’m embracing whatever my mood feels like! I “only” saw 6 Broadway shows in August, but thats still a pretty good number!

I read 4 books and DNF-ed 1 book in August, but I enjoyed what I read and thats what matters, right?!

I made a separate post for my Broadway Wrap Up, which you can check out here!
