‘My Name is Jason. Mine too.’ by Jason Reynolds & Jason Griffin – Audiobook Review

This book was first published in 2009 and republished in June 2022. I only recently discovered this and I absolutely love Jason Reynolds (and am growing to love Jason Griffin!), so of course I had to pick up this book about both of the Jasons!

Audiobook Review: ‘The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music’

I’ve read more nonfiction this year than I think in all previous years combined, and I wanted to read one last nonfiction before the end of 2021 – and what better story than that of musician Dave Grohl – best known as the drummer of Nirvana and frontman of Foo Fighters. I thought this was an incredible story – Dave has a way with words, as lyric writers do – and it’s worth a read even if you aren’t a diehard Nirvana or Foo Fighters fan.

Audiobook Review: ‘Three Pianos: A Memoir’

I’ve been a fan of Andrew McMahon since the Jack’s Mannequin days. I’ve seen him on tour as often as possible and I always loved the stories he told about his songs on stage, so I was very excited to learn he’d be writing a memoir! Even if you aren’t familiar with his music, he has one heck of a story to tell about his 39 years of life so far.

Audiobook Review: ‘On Juneteenth’

This is something a little different from what I usually review, but I wanted to bring attention to this book, On Juneteenth. I freely admit that I knew next to nothing about Juneteenth before reading this book. I can’t recall ever learning about it in school and while I’ve heard the term in more recent years, I still didn’t fully understand what Juneteenth celebrated – this book helped explain that.

Thank you libro.fm for the advanced listening copy!
