‘The Ten Thousand Doors of January’ by Alix E. Harrow – Audiobook Review

This book has been on my TBR for literal years – I actually read Alix E. Harrow’s Fractured Fables series (A Spindle Splintered and A Mirror Mended) first but always wanted to go back to this one. I decided this January, I was going to read it! …I didn’t actually get to this book until February but hey, I finally did it. This book was weird but I think I enjoyed it?

‘Revelle’ Book Launch at Books Of Wonder – 2/17/23

On Friday, February 17, I went to Books of Wonder for the Revelle by Lyssa Mia Smith launch event!

She was in conversation with Lauren Blackwood, Rochelle Hassan, and Meg Long. This event was so good, I loved the conversation and learning more about Revelle.

I recommend checking out Revelle as well as the books by the other authors as well!

Audiobook Review: ‘The Companion’

This is the story of two trans women and a trans man in a polyamorous relationship set in 1949 in upstate New York. I don’t even remember how this came across my radar but I was curious to pick up this short novella due to the LGBTQ+ aspects and the fact its historical fiction. When I saw this audiobook was available on Scribd I immediately listened to it!

Audiobook Review: ‘Songs in Ursa Major’

I have truly found my brand of books and it is historical fiction books set in the 60s/70s/80s eras and featuring music. It’s my brand and I love it – and I loved this book. Remember how I said I’d like to live inside Malibu Rising? I’d also like to live inside Songs in Ursa Major and befriend Jane Quinn. (Or be her groupie. Either works.) This is going to be one of my top 10 books of 2021, calling it now.

Audiobook Review: ‘Malibu Rising’

I’m already a huge fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid from reading Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, so this book had a lot of expectations to live up to. Because of this, I kept putting it off – but decided it was finally time to dive in, and as expected, this book was fantastic.

Audiobook Review: ‘Mary Jane’

Mary Jane caught my attention when I saw it marketed as Almost Famous meets Daisy Jones and the Six – I love both of those so of course I was going to read Mary Jane! I adored this book and will be recommending it to everyone – but be warned, this is more Almost Famous and basically NOTHING like Daisy Jones.
