Broadway Wrap Up: February 2023

I saw 3 Broadway shows in February! February was a busy month for me, between traveling to Atlanta for work, going to the Revelle book launch event, and seeing 3 concerts – so I didn’t see as many Broadway shows – not to mention a lot of new shows are just opening, so I expect March to be busier!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – February 15

The fact I’ve won the Cursed Child lottery 3 times already this year – sometimes I impress even myself. ANYWAY, another Wednesday another Cursed Child viewing. Maya is finally back as Rose, so it was nice to see her again, I don’t think I’ve seen her since November as Rose!

This show just gets more gay every single time I see it I swear I love Joel and Erik playing Albus and Scorpius, I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, they are incredible!

Bad Cinderella – February 24

Bad Cinderella lives up to its name – it is, in fact, bad. And not in a good way. In a genuinely bad way and I already had very low expectations going in. I saw it during previews so I’m unsure if anything will change before it opens on March 23, 2023.

I was able to grab a digital rush ticket for $30 and figured I better see this show for myself to judge and yes, I judged. My seat was marked as “partial view” as it was off to the side, but it was also front row and right next to the stairs some actors walked in on – so I felt I had a great seat! I did miss some stuff on the right (stage left) side but nothing major as far as I could tell.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – February 28

Cursed Child sure knows how to keep dragging me back in! February 28th was Ravenclaw Pride Night – of course I couldn’t miss my house themed night!

The previous house themed nights had a costume contest as well – so I FINALLY got a Luna Lovegood costume together. And of course, there was no costume contest this time around LOL MY LUCK! It’s ok, I still looked super cute with this closet Luna cosplay, aka stuff thrown together from my closet – and I had a lot of fun with it! I can’t wait to wear this Luna outfit again real soon~ I got so many compliments on it~
