Top Ten Tuesday: Books From Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This weeks theme is: Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read

I love this weeks theme because I truly use my season TBR’s to hold myself accountable! Let’s see how I’ve been doing.

Fall 2021 TBR – Throwing it way back to September 2021 here. I have not yet read: Once Upon A Broken Heart, From Blood and Ash, Chain of Iron, and Lakesedge. 4 out of 10 isn’t that bad honestly!

I wanted to reread the Caraval series before OUABH, which was part of my delay… and now we’re close to the 2nd book being released and I’m just terribly behind.

From Blood and Ash is just daunting to me with so much hype around it, I own the Audible audiobook but I keep putting off listening to it.

When I found out Chain of Thorns, the third and final book in The Last Hours series had its publication date pushed back, I decided to hold off on reading Chain of Iron.

Lakesedge feels like an autumn book so I plan to pick it up in a few months, and the sequel is set to be released then too so if I love it I want to read them back to back!

Winter 2021 TBR – I did pretty good with this one. But the way I put Chain of Iron on both my fall *and* winter TBR’s and it’s summer 2022 and I still haven’t read it. Yeah.

I haven’t read The Legend of Holly Clause yet, but I’m saving that for the next holiday season – it doesn’t feel right to read in summer!

Spring 2022 TBR – I’ve actually read everyone one of these except This Is Not The Read World, which I’ve been in the middle fo since….May…… its just sitting on my shelf, half read. Whoops.

But I made it a priority to go back and look at this post to decide what to read next! It really helped me keep on track!

Summer 2022 TBR, I’m not going to count, since that’s still pretty recent. (Although I did finish The Dead Romantics and plan to start These Twisted Bonds this week, AND I have arcs of almost every other book on my TBR so its a good start!)

How have you been doing with your seasonal TBR’s? Keeping up?
Link your post below and I’ll check it out!

  1. So The Starless Sea is one of my absolute favorites, but From Blood and Ash is a book I will never touch again. It’s so bad. (You may disagree!) I have Once Upon a Broken Heart on my TBR (same with Caraval!). The Ex Hex is a really cute book — fun little paranormal romance!

    1. I’ve heard such mixed things on From Blood and Ash! Some love it, other hate it, I thinkkkkk I’m going to eventually give it a try for myself but go in with low expectations! I hope we can both get to Once Upon A Broken Heart sometime this year, I reallyyyyy want to, but I also reallyyy want to reread Caraval haha, the struggle of not enough time!

    1. I’m planning to wait until closer to Book 3 release before reading Chain of Iron too, it just seems to make the most sense at this point! I’ve waited this long, what a few months more!

And I’m so glad to hear you liked Violet Made of Thorns! I can’t wait to read it!!

    1. I’m glad I’m not alone in this dilemma LOL! Obtain new books because they look good, then let them sit on your shelves for months/years, whoops! Thank you, I hope you can read some of them on your TBR soon too! 🙂
