Come From Away is a show I can watch again and again and it can still make me both laugh and cry. This musical is based on the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them on September 11, 2001 after their planes were diverted.
I’m going to try and be as honest and open in my reviews as I can. Please note these are my personal opinions and I’m always open to discussions!

Since this is based on a true story and deals with September 11, 2001 – bring the tissues, you’re going to need them.

I haven’t seen Come From Away since January 2022, so I was overdue for another visit. When I heard Jenn Colella, original cast member & Tony nominated for her role, was going to be returning for a short run as Beverley, Annette, and others, I knew I wanted to see CFA again this summer! And let me tell you – Jenn did not disappoint. I can see why she was Tony nominated. She is incredible in those roles and her voice is out of this world! I’m so glad I was able to see her perform live – she is also in the Apple TV version that was filmed.
Another new face to the production is Sharone Sayegh as Bonnie and others. I thought she also did a good job in the roles she played.

The wonderful musicians are not to be forgotten. They really bring this show alive with their music, and this is one of the shows where they’re all on stage! They’re off to the side, but during one portion of the show they all join center stage and its a lot of fun to watch that scene!

One of my favorite things about this show is the audience reactions. Seeing when the audience laughs the most, or the moments they gasp at, or go silent at and shed a tear. This was my third time seeing Come From Away, so I knew when those moments were coming, but I love when the audience is fresh and really reacts. Even though I know certain moments, it’s still always a tear jerker and you will need those tissues. (Thank goodness for masks helping to hide some of the sniffling and feels!)
Come From Away is on Broadway until October 2nd, and I highly recommend checking it out – or watch it on Apple TV – or catch it touring in a city near you!

Have you ever listened to the Come From Away soundtrack, or watched it on Apple TV?

I’ve seen CFA 6 times and is my all time favourite musical. I’m absolutely devastated that it’s closing in NY in October and in London in January :'(. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch it at least one more time!

6 times, that’s amazing! It’s a fantastic show and I’m sad its closing in both locations as well 😦 I’m glad its been around for as long as it has though and reached so many people. I hope you’ll be able to see it again too! I’m so glad I did, and I might try and see it once more before October!
