TBR: August 2021

I liked making a TBR post for July, so let’s keep it going for August! I sorta stuck to my July TBR, let’s see what August brings and what my mood will make me want to read!

  • I’m still in the middle of a few books from July, so these are carrying over and I hope to finish them within the next few days!
  • Fresh by Margot Wood (physical arc) – I’ve started this, already loving it! I’ve laughed out loud a TON already. Hoping to finish before the official release on August 3rd!!!
  • Birds of Prey: Harley Quinn – graphic novel – by Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti (library copy) – I’ve read about 25% of this, its not my favorite Harley comics but its fun, and I’m sure I can finish this quickly once I sit down to read it!
  • The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid (readalong – audiobook) – This is another one I’m carrying over from July. This was the June Illumicrate book, which only arrived end of July (I know, I know…) and readalong started mid-August so I’m planning to join that!
  • And now onto NEW books:
  • Chrysalis by Rie Anders (audiobook) – I won an audio copy of this in a Facebook giveaway. I’ve read one of Rie Anders books before and really enjoyed it so I’m giving this one a try!
  • The Witch Haven by Sasha Peyton Smith (physical arc) – The publisher kindly sent me a physical arc of this book and it sounds perfectly WITCHY! It’s released August 31st, so I have the entire month to read this. (I say that now… watch me read it a few days before that…)
  • It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey (audiobook) – You tell me a book is inspired by Schitt’s Creek and I am SOLD! I’ve been reading a lot of romance this summer, and honestly? I’m here for it.
  • Wild Women and the Blues by Denny S. Bryce (audiobook) – I’m also on a historical fiction kick – and this is diverse too?! SOLD!
  • Poison Ivy: Thorns by Kody Keplinger (graphic novel) – I’m on a DC comic kick, what can I say? I’ve seen a review that recommend this so I figured I’d give it a try!
  • Songs in Ursa Major by Emma Brodie (audiobook) – 1970s music related historical fiction? I have a brand and this is exactly it.
  • Dark Deception by Sarah Piper (Hoopla audio) – Sometimes you just need to read a vampire paranomal romance novel.
  • That Weekend by Kara Thomas (audiobook) – I’ve read Little Monsters by Kara Thomas and enjoyed it and I could use a new thriller/mystery book, and I’ve heard good things about this one!
  • This is an ambitious 11 book TBR – but I’ve read 9 books in both June and July, so I think this is doable! But knowing my mood, I’ll likely stray from this list when something new and shiny comes in at my library!
  • Have you read any of these yet?
What is your August TBR? Let me know below and I’ll check out your post!
