Blog Tour: ‘Kingdom of the Wicked’

You know I was so excited to be chosen to be a part of this tour as Kerri is my favorite author! I had a hiccup getting this review posted but here it is, including a synopsis of the book below:

Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe – witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family’s renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin…desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister’s killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that’s been long forbidden.

Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia’s side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women’s murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems…

Review:

It’s not a surprise that I loved this book. It was absolutely amazing and I find myself struggling to find the words to describe it. Kerri’s writing is just simply everything to and for me, I love how she tells her stories. While I am partial and attached to SJTR, I was excited to see her new venture. And it didn’t disappoint. Being a witch myself, I can say that the verbiage used in this is accurate and I can tell that Kerri put a lot of work into the research for this title. That was the element by far that blew me away and I think its a perfect book for the month of October, and sooky season in general. It was unique, interesting, and I can’t wait to read this book again, it was that good. The characters felt like they floated off the page and I could imagine myself in the story. I am kind of a sucker for sisterly bonds and this definitely hit that on the nose.

I have extremely high hopes of Kerri and the future of this series, which I am so glad that it is a series. It left off in a way that was both satisfying and enveloping way that always makes me want to read more.
