Retelling-A-Thon Announcement!

Welcome one, welcome all! We have a special announcement today if you like retellings of popular myths and stories…

I am hosting a readathon called Retelling-A-Thon (#ReTellingAThon on social media) during the month of August! This will feature prompts for various retellings that I have discovered based on Epic Reads awesome graphic.

My co-chosts for ReTelling-A-Thon are:

Harker from The Hermit Librarian

Umairah from Sereadipity

Jennifer from Bibliolater

While this readathon is one month long, you can choose which week (or weeks) you’d like to participate in. All you have to do is sign up using this form and choose what team you’d like to be on! We have 4 categories: mythology, Shakespeare, fairy tales and classics.

We won’t be using a points system, so it’s more of a competition with yourself. We will be posting graphics to submit your planned TBRs and final stats with!

There will be a giveaway at the end of each week for a book related to that category! More instructions will be posted in a tweet when we get there.

We will be posting the prompts next week so you can start forming your TBRs! Please feel free to discuss your excitement on social media with the hashtag #RetellingAThon and let us know what you’ll be reading!

I hope you are as excited as we are for this readathon! Let me know what some of your favorite retellings are in the comments~

    1. I’ve seen people use the same books for a different prompt for readathons before, if you’d really like to participate! And you aren’t required to participate every week with this one as well 🙂

      1. I did consider that! 😅 I’m doing my first ever Readathon now, so I’ll see how I get on with this one and I might decide to do both. I get confused really easily so I’ll see ☺️ I’ll let you know!
